A Nigerian lady has shared a hilarious encounter after she mistakenly assumed a groom was a teenager when he came to pick up wedding printings.

The story was shared on X by @stxllionchik, who revealed that the man’s youthful appearance completely fooled her.

‘I Thought He Was 18/19’

According to her, a bride she had done some printing work for informed her that someone would come to collect the items.

She said a young man eventually arrived, and she assumed he was around 18 or 19 years old.

 

“Last week, a bride that I did some printings for, told me she was going to send someone to pick up.”

She added:

 

“The person who came for the pickup was a young boy who I believed was 18/19.”

She Gave Him ₦1k for Transport

The lady said she casually greeted the man and asked if he had come to collect the items on behalf of the bride.

“I asked him ‘How are you bobo? You’re here to pickup for lagbaja abi?’ and.. He said yes.”

After giving him the printings, she went a step further by giving him ₦1,000 for transport, apparently believing he was a young boy helping the bride.

“So, I gave the printings to him and even gave him 1k for transport.”

The following day, the bride shared pictures from her wedding, and the lady was stunned by what she saw.

“The bride posted her wedding pictures yesterday, and behold.. the boy who I thought was 17 was actually the groom, and he’s in his early 30s.”
