A young lady on X has opened up about the emotional pain she’s facing at home after her parents found out her cousin is getting married.

According to her, ever since her parents heard that the cousin who is four years older — is set to tie the knot, the atmosphere in her home has changed. She revealed that she tried to keep her hurt inside but eventually broke down in tears.

“Ever since my parents heard that my cousin (4 years older than me) will be getting married, it’s been a lot of work for me. I have been trying to keep my hurt but today, I just couldn’t. I broke down in tears because I was so hurt, I don’t know how to explain it but it’s painful.”

The lady further explained that she was sad because she had spent so much time at home and did not have the option of leaving yet, adding that she lived her life pleasing her parents instead of choosing herself.
