A member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has stirred reactions online after using his April allowance to pay the tuition fees of 50 students under his care.
In a viral video shared on social media, the corps member was seen walking to school while revealing his decision to sacrifice his monthly allowance for the students. According to him, the beneficiaries were unaware of his plan.

“I decided to use all my April NYSC allowance for the payment of my students’ fees. All of them, they are 50 in number, but they don’t even know about it yet. So, let’s see how they react to it,” he said.

On arriving at the classroom, the corps member announced his decision before the visibly surprised students.
“I’ve made my final decision and I’ve decided that my April NYSC allowance will be for you. Therefore, I will pay your fees for this month. Thank you,” he told the class.

The video has since attracted widespread praise from Nigerians, with many commending the corps member for his generosity and concern for education despite the country’s economic hardship.
