Nollywood actor, Jerry Williams has reportedly been arrested by Nigerian security operatives.

According to Stanley Ontop, a movie producer, the actor was arrested in his apartment on July 21, 2025, allegedly orchestrated by Nwafor Franklin, known as Izutech.

He further stated that if any harm befalls Jerry Williams, Izutech must be held accountable.

According to Stanley Ontop, upon arriving at Jerry Williams’ apartment, he discovered the actor had been taken away, and all attempts to pursue the individuals responsible with his vehicle proved futile.

“Before I reached Jerry’s apartment, they had already left.I chased them with my car yet, I didn’t see them”, The post stated.

It’s worth noting that Jerry Williams has been struggling with substance abuse issues, which led to his indefinite suspension from the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) in June 2023.
The AGN cited concerns for his safety and the safety of others on set due to his substance abuse problem.
