IVD reportedly arrested at airport

Popular Nigerian auto dealer and businessman Ikechukwu Ogbonna, widely known as, IVD reportedly arrested.

According to a report from investigative journalist, Stella Dimokokorus, IVD was arrested on Friday, August 1, 2025, while attempting to board a flight to Qatar.

Reports claim he was detained due to an ongoing domestic violence case linked to the death of his late wife, Bimbo Ogbonna, in 2022.

Recall that Bimbo Ogbonna died on October 15, 2022, after suffering severe burns in a fire incident at her Lekki residence.

However,  IVD remains in police custody until Monday, August 4, 2025, when he’ll appear in court.

Meanwhile, the airport where IVD was allegedly arrested remains unknown.
