A video of the chairman of the Lagos State Parks Management Committee, MC Oluomo, warning residents sternly before this Saturday’s gubernatorial and house of assembly elections leaked online, setting off a firestorm of criticism.
In the viral video, MC Oluomo, a popular supporter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidate, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, is seen directing his followers over how to conduct themselves on Saturday.
He insisted that only Yorubas would vote first and then warned to stay at home on election day if they intended to cast their ballots for a party other than the one in power.
“Iya Chukwudi, if you know you no wan vote for us, siddon for your house o.”
He also informed everyone there that they know what to do if they begin to lose.
