A man has stirred reactions online after claiming a court ordered him to pay just $13 a month in child support after his baby’s mama took legal action against him.

The man shared online that he had been voluntarily supporting his daughter financially before experiencing temporary financial difficulties.

“I was paying $300 weekly” – Man says

According to the man, he had been giving his child’s mother $300 every week to help care for their daughter.

He added that he also covered all of their daughter’s daycare expenses and handled her daily school drop-offs and pick-ups.

The father said he also spends three days each week with his daughter.

Financial struggles lead to reduced payments

The man explained that he recently experienced financial hardship and informed his child’s mother that he needed a few months to recover.

According to him, he asked if he could temporarily reduce the weekly payment from $300 to $150 for two to three months while he got back on his feet.

However, he claimed that instead of accepting the temporary arrangement, she filed for child support.

Court reportedly orders $13 monthly payment

Sharing the outcome of the case, the man claimed the court ordered him to pay just $13 per month in child support.

He wrote:

“Full story Was giving my BM $300 every week. Hit a rough patch and told her I need 2-3 months to get back on my feet and could only give her $150 a week. I have custody of my daughter 3 days out of the week. I take her to school everyday & pick her up. and I pay for all of her daycare expenses. her greedy ass wanted to put me on Child Support. Well it’s official I just made my first adjusted documented child support payment. 18 more years to Go.”
