“I Go Soon Leave Music” – Davido Reveals Plans To Quit Music And Focus On Making Billions

Afrobeats superstar Davido has hinted that he may soon step away from music to focus on building greater wealth and making billions.

The singer made the revelation during a heated exchange with Nigerian rapper Erigga on X, formerly known as Twitter.

 

The disagreement began after Erigga praised musicians who did not come from wealthy families and had to work hard to achieve success.

 

“Shoutout to all the musicians who don’t come from family money and had to grind for every single dollar they earn,” Erigga wrote.

 

Davido disagreed with the sentiment, arguing that coming from a wealthy family does not mean an individual cannot work hard to achieve success.

 

“No be we say make your pops no guard o. Shoutout to the ones that came from family money and still grind to the top,” Davido responded.

 

The exchange later became heated, with Davido describing Erigga’s statement as “useless motivation” and calling him an “imbecile.”

 

Davido then appeared to hint at his future plans, suggesting that he could eventually leave the music industry.

 

“No worry o I go soon leave their music for una go make my billions… then that shit gonna be boring AF,” he wrote.

 

His comment has sparked reactions online, with fans and social media users discussing the possibility of the singer eventually stepping away from music.
