Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has opened up about her personality, admitting that she can be intense in her emotions and actions, sometimes loving too deeply and cutting people off quickly.

Speaking during an appearance on The Morayo Show, the actress revealed that she is learning to strike a balance while prioritising her mental health.
“I know I am too extreme; I can love too hard and also easily cut off people. I must say I’m not proud of that and I’m proud of it. There must be a balance,” she said.

Funke credited her helping her gain a new perspective on relationships and leadership.

She recalled a moment when he advised her to be more understanding and less reactive when dealing with people, noting that leadership requires patience and tolerance.
According to her, this advice helped her reflect deeply on how she handles relationships, especially in moments of conflict.

Toward the end of the conversation, she further opened up about her upbringing and how her late mother played a key role in shaping her mindset.
“I know I am an extremist. I love so hard, I’m real, I’m not perfect, I can be tough. When my mum was alive, she would always tell me to calm down… It’s good but calm down.

Human relationships are very important to me, and I’m learning every day, but no matter what happens, my mental health is very important,” she concluded.
