“How do I explain this to my mother…” – Expelled nursing student cries out over viral ‘Gen Z Nurses’ video

An alleged nursing student of Madonna University, Elele Campus, Rivers State, has spoken out after reportedly being expelled following a viral TikTok video involving nursing students.

The student was seen crying in an emotional video as she reflected on the reported expulsion, her completed examinations and the sacrifices made toward her education.

‘How Do I Explain to My Mother?’

In the emotional clip, the student expressed concern about how she would break the news to her mother after reportedly being among the students expelled by the university.

She said:

“How do I explain to my mother that I was one of the students expelled after all the exams and sacrifices?”

The student reportedly struggled to hold back tears as she spoke about the situation and the years she had invested in her education.

Viral ‘Gen Z Nurses’ Video

The reported disciplinary action came after a video showing nursing students dancing at different locations on the university premises went viral on social media.

The clip reportedly showed students dancing in a hospital waiting area, on a staircase and inside a bus as part of the “Gen Z nurses” challenge.

The video also featured a Pidgin caption that read:

“No fall sick o, na Gen Z full hospital now.”

The circumstances surrounding the recording and the specific disciplinary measures taken against the students have not been independently verified.

Her comments have drawn attention online, particularly because the reported expulsion came after the students had allegedly completed their examinations.

Madonna University is a private Catholic university with campuses in Elele, Rivers State, Okija, Anambra State, and Akpugo, Enugu State.
