The revelation has sparked renewed concerns over abuse of power within tertiary institutions and the vulnerability of female students in academic environments.
“During my 200 level at Abia State University, I had a lecturer who clearly had his eyes on me. After one of his tests, almost everyone got an F or D, but I got a C. He called me, praised me, then tried to touch me. I stood up and told him I wasn’t comfortable. He asked if I didn’t want an A, and I said I would earn it the right way,” she said.

“He threatened me that I would carry over his course if I didn’t cooperate. I thought he was bluffing, but I ended up with a carryover. I cried so much that day. I had decided never to give in, but he later died in a car accident. It was tragic, but I felt relieved,” she added.
