“He swung into action immediately” – Pastor Eno Jerry discloses Alex Otti’s pledges to Alex Ekubo’s family after actor’s death

Founder of Streams of Joy International, Pastor Jerry Eze’s wife, Eno Jerry, has revealed how Abia State Governor Alex Otti responded after learning about the death of Nollywood actor Alex Ekubo.

Speaking during Alex Ekubo’s service of songs, she said the governor was deeply shocked and saddened by the news and immediately took steps to support the actor’s family.

“When the news got to His Excellency’s attention, it met him with a lot of shock and sadness. And as soon as he heard about Alex, he swung into motion,” she said.

According to her, Governor Otti reached out to members of Alex Ekubo’s family, including speaking with the actor’s mother, while offering words of comfort during the difficult period.

Eno Jerry also described the late actor as a proud son of Abia State who never hid his love for his culture and hometown, Arochukwu.

She further disclosed that Governor Otti pledged to make the road leading to the actor’s hometown motorable ahead of his burial.

She added that the governor also pledged financial support and security for those expected to attend the burial.

“He also made a pledge to help them fix the road that leads to Alex’s hometown, at least make it motorable even before the burial.

He also pledged financial support and security for all those who will be coming for the burial in Arochukwu,” she added.

Eno Jerry noted that Governor Otti remains willing to do even more for the family if the need arises, stressing that the late actor made Abia State proud through his achievements and legacy.

The remarks have since generated reactions online, with many Nigerians commending the governor’s gesture and celebrating Alex Ekubo’s impact on the entertainment industry.
