GWR: Ondo chef completes 150 hours cooking marathon (Video)

Adeola Adeyeye, a chef from Ondo popularly known as “Chef Deo,” has broken the Guinness World Record for the most hours spent cooking.

In the early hours of Thursday, July 6, 2023, Adeyeye finished a 150-hour cook-a-thon, breaking the previous mark of 100 hours (93 official hours) set by chef Hilda Baci.

Prior to beginning the cooking marathon, Chef Deo disclosed that she informed Guinness World Records about her plans and received their consent.

When she hit her attempt, several hundred people gathered at the event scene in Ile-Oluji, the headquater of Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government in Ondo State, to rejoice with her.

On June 30, 2023, Chef Deo stood up the challenge. It was finished on July 6, 2023.
