Popular social media critic, VeryDarkMan (VDM, has reacted to Nigerian artistes losing out at the 68th Grammy Awards held in the United States on Sunday night.

All Nigerian nominees, including Davido, Ayra Starr, Burna Boy, Omah Lay and Wizkid, failed to win in their respective categories, ending the night without a trophy.

VDM reacts to Grammy outcome

Reacting online, VDM described the result as painful but predictable, saying Nigerian artistes often help promote the awards without getting rewarded.

“CONFIRMED 🤦‍♂️💔 All Nigerian artistes nominated at the 68th Grammy Awards have lost in all categories,” he wrote in a viral post.

He added, “None of them is flying back to Lagos with a trophy. But still, congratulations guys. You did your best.”

The outspoken commentator then made a controversial claim, alleging that the Grammy Awards often benefit from Nigerian attention and global influence.
