A teenage girl identified as Priscilla Nyarko, has made her family and community proud by passing her West African Senior Schools Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
The 19-year-old lady, who is currently selling kenkey to support her family, shared her results and it turns out, she got As in 3 subjects – Social Studies, Core Mathematics and Management in Living – and Bs in the remaining 5 subjects.
Priscilla attended the Nyankumasi Ahenkro Senior High School, Assin South, Central Region which is close to her hometown, Assin Adubiase.
She impressed many by excelling in her WAEC exam despite not having access to a lot of facilities.
The brilliant young girl who desires to study nursing at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology is the fourth born out of six children.
Despite passing her exams, Priscilla Nyarko’s mother also sells kenkey and her father has a small farm, hence her dream of being able to go to the university is hindered by scarcity of funds, so she needs support to further her education.
