“Even if he points a gun at me, I’ll still love him” – Asake speaks on bond with father

Afrobeats singer Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has opened up about his relationship with his father, making a bold statement about their bond.

Speaking on an interview with famous Youtuber Korty EO, the music star explained that despite not living together or seeing each other often, his love for his father remains unchanged.

“The love is still the same between me and my dad, even if I don’t live with him or see him every day,” he said.

This comes weeks after Asake reportedly surprised both his father and mother with luxurious cars for Ramadan, despite rumours of a strained relationship between him and his father over alleged abandonment while growing up.

Despite the past, the singer emphasised that his love for his father is unconditional and cannot be affected by circumstances.

“Even if he points a gun at me, till eternity he will always be my dad, and I will still show him the same love,” he added.

Fans have since shared mixed reactions, with some praising his maturity and forgiveness, while others questioned the extreme example he used.
