It may seem as though the claim of Vekee James did not sit well with an Evangelist who has shared a video berating the fashion designer.

In the video, Evangelist Okeke questioned the spiritual legitimacy of such an inspiration, arguing that the dress—being revealing—did not align with Christian standards of modesty.

“The dress wasn’t modest,” she stated. “

Can the Holy Spirit truly lead someone to design something that doesn’t reflect decency? If we say the Holy Spirit inspired this, are we not encouraging indecency under the guise of spirituality?”

“Even as believers, not all inspiration we receive comes from God. Sometimes, our thoughts, emotions, or personal desires can influence us,” she concluded.
