Drama as groom’s mother clashes with Asoebi girls over money sprayed on bride

A wedding celebration turned chaotic after the groom’s mother allegedly confronted the bride’s Asoebi girls over money sprayed during the event.

In a viral video circulating on X (formerly Twitter), the bride was seen dancing joyfully while guests sprayed money on her.

One of her Asoebi girls, however, stepped forward with a bag to help gather the cash.

Midway through the celebration, the groom’s mother reportedly stormed the dance floor and grabbed the bag from the Asoebi girl.

The young lady resisted, holding tightly to it as both women struggled publicly.

Guests quickly intervened to prevent the altercation from escalating further, separating both parties as murmurs spread across the venue.

Social media users have since shared mixed reactions.

While some criticised the mother-in-law’s actions, others argued that cultural expectations surrounding sprayed money may have triggered the dispute.

One user wrote, “Imagine fighting over money on your son’s wedding day. Embarrassment at it’s peak”. Another commented, “Who exactly owns the sprayed money? The bride or the groom’s family?
