Former Barcelona star Ilaix Moriba has returned to the Spanish La Liga as he joins Valencia from German Bundesliga side RB Leipzig on loan for the remainder of the season.
The Guinea international left Barcelona last summer to join RB Leipzig but failed break into the starting which led to his loan move to Valencia.
Valencia released an official statement on their website to announce the return Ilaix Moriba to Spanish La Liga.
“Valencia CF have reached an agreement with RB Leipzig for the signing of Ilaix Moriba, an international with Guinea Conakry,” the club stated.
“The midfielder arrives on loan until the end of the season and will begin work under coach José Bordalás this Sunday.
“A graduate of the FC Barcelona youth academy, Ilaix Moriba has been identified as one of the most promising players at international level. He arrives having been one of the sensations of the African Cup of Nations, where he was named Best Young Player in the Group Stage.”
