Afrobeats sensation Davido celebrates a major accomplishment as his latest single, ‘Awuke’ tops the chart on Apple Music Nigeria, surpassing Wizkid’s ‘Piece of My Heart’.

The track which was released on October 31, 2024 features the grandson of reggae legend Bob Marley, YG Marley, secured the number-one spot on Spotify Nigeria within five hours.

This rapid climb of the song marks a record-breaking achievement, making it the first song in Nigeria to hit number one on Spotify NG based on partial-day streams alone.

In a recent video circulating online, Davido is seen with his cousin, Folasade Adeleke and his crew as he receives the news about his dual-chart-topping single.
