Davido breaks silence following Grammy Awards loss

Afrobeats superstar, Davido breaks silence following the loss of all three Grammy Awards nominations at the just concluded event.

We’d recall that at the 66th annual Grammy Awards event, Davido was nominated in three categories namely, ‘Timeless’ – Best Global Music Album, and ‘Feel’ – Best Global Music Performance, ‘Unavailable’ – Best African Music Performance, making it his best bet toward winning a first Grammys.

The ‘Unavailable’ crooner, however, lost all categories; Tyla from South Africa won the Best African Music Performance, Shakti from India took the Best Global Music Album, and the Best Global Music Performance was won by the American director, Béla Fleck, Edgar Meyer & Zakir Hussain Featuring Rakesh Chaurasia.

Reacting to the shocking loss, Davido took to the micro blogging Twitter (X) platform to send congratulatory message to Tyla, attributing her win as a collective one for Africa.
