Nigerian comedian and content creator Carter Efe has made history on Twitch after recording a landmark streaming session with Davido that drew unprecedented numbers across the African continent.

During a Wednesday night livestream, Carter Efe peaked at over 80,000 concurrent viewers and surpassed 9,000 subscribers following a live appearance by Afrobeats superstar Davido.

The moment is being widely described as Nigeria’s biggest Twitch stream to date, with Carter Efe also becoming the first African streamer to reach such a high subscriber count on the platform.

Visibly emotional during the stream, Carter reflected on Davido’s support, noting how the singer’s gesture came as a powerful encouragement.
