Canada-based Nigerian calls out Nigerian government after 100 KM drive without ‘a single pothole’

A Nigerian man based in Canada has mocked the federal government of Nigeria after traveling 100 KM from Calgary to Vancouver without encountering a single pothole.

The incident was shared in a post on X, formerly Twitter, by user @olumuyiwaayo, who revealed that he spent about eight hours on the road and experienced no difficulties, providing pictorial evidence of the smooth journey.

He contrasted this with the state of federal roads in Ekiti State, highlighting that they remain poorly maintained.

He added that when citizens speak out about these issues, they are often met with insults instead of accountability.

In his post, he stated: “I drove 800 km out of 1000 km from Calgary to Vancouver yesterday in about 8 hours—smooth roads, not a single pothole.”

“Meanwhile, the federal roads in Ekiti remain abandoned. Yet, when citizens demanded the bare minimum, they were met with insults instead of accountability. Won ti get wa!”
