Burna Boy, who was raised in a Christian background, stirred reports about his religious status after revealing during a podcast interview a few weeks ago that he embraced Islam “at some point” in his search for truth. Since then, his faith has remained a topic of public speculation.

Recently, Rahman Jago shared a video on his X handle showing Burna Boy praising Allah alongside him and a group of men in what appeared to be a bar setting. He captioned the clip, “Allahu Akbar.”

The video was reposted by Bashir Ahmad, a former media aide to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari. Ahmad remarked that the singer looked happy and prayed that Allah would make his journey in Islam easy.
In the comment section, a fan asked Ahmad whether Burna Boy had truly converted. Ahmad replied that some of the singer’s close associates had stated that he converted, although the artiste himself had yet to publicly confirm it.

Quoting the fan’s question, Rahman Jago then affirmed that Burna Boy has now converted to Islam and is a Muslim.
“He converted. He is now a Muslim,” Jago wrote.
