Autopsy Reveals Destiny Boy D!Ed From Toxic Substances In His System

An autopsy has confirmed the cause of death of 22-year-old Afro-Fuji artiste Afeez Adesina, widely known as Destiny Boy.

The singer reportedly died on January 17, 2026, a development that left fans and the music community in shock as tributes poured in over his sudden passing.

Following his death, several controversies emerged, prompting public calls for an autopsy to determine what led to the tragedy. Earlier reports also highlighted circulating videos that showed his body being transported to a mortuary, fueling speculation about the circumstances surrounding his death. In one of the clips, he was seen lying in the back of a vehicle with cotton wool placed in his nostrils and ears.

His mother, Saidat Adeshina, had previously disclosed that the singer had been battling a health condition similar to epilepsy for nearly two years. She explained that the illness began shortly after his child’s naming ceremony and was kept private due to his public image. According to her, he suffered recurring seizures linked to a mysterious ailment locally referred to as “Oku Oru.”

However, findings from an autopsy report released recently and cited by Daily Trust revealed that high levels of tramadol, its metabolites, and methamphetamine were present in his system. The report concluded that he died from aspiration pneumonitis caused by ingesting these toxic substances.

While many fans continue to mourn his loss and speak out against drug abuse, others have drawn comparisons to the case of late singer Mohbad.
