AFCON 2025; Peller cries out, loses $3000 on Nigeria to defeat Mexico

‎Nigerian TikToker, Peller is heartbroken after losing a $3,000 bet on Nigeria to defeat Morocco at the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) Semi-final.

‎It’s worth noting that the Super Eagles of Nigeria were knocked out by Mexico’s national football team, El Tri, at the semi-finals of the AFCON tournament.

The match ended goaless, while Morocco emerged victorious 4-2 in the penalty shootout.

‎Peller Loses $3000 Dollars

‎In a video posted online, Peller, who recently crashed his Mercedes Benz, disclosed he wasn’t aware his bet would be void after 90 minutes.

‎Expressing displeasure over the heartbreaking incident, he revealed he left the stadium where he was watching the match and appealed to the Super Eagles to emerge victorious.

It’s worth noting that the Super Eagles of Nigeria topped Group C at the AFCON tournament with a perfect record, winning all three matches.

The team defeated Uganda 3-1 in their last group stage match, with goals from Paul Onuachu and Raphael Onyedika.

Notably, Nigeria has been on a roll, winning all five matches played so far and scoring 14 goals, making them one of the favorites to lift the trophy.

Earlier, Nigeria defeated Algeria 2-0 in the quarterfinals of AFCON 2025, with goals scored by Victor Osimhen and Akor Adams.
