Nollywood veteran Bukky Wright has revealed the emotional reason behind her decision to leave Nigeria and step away from the movie industry, saying she has no regrets because the move was for the sake of her children.

The actress made the disclosure during an interview with television host Morayo Afolabi Brown, where she reflected on motherhood, her career, legacy and her highly anticipated return to the screen.

Bukky Wright says motherhood came first

Speaking during the interview, Bukky Wright said, “I left this country many years ago because of my children, and I will do it over and over again if I had to.”

She also apologised to fans who were saddened by her sudden departure from the entertainment industry.

She said, “I didn’t tell people I was coming back. A lot of people didn’t know I was shooting because I have learnt something: what you keep to your heart manifests better.”
