Amid growing social media speculation over his reported fallout with music star Davido, controversial social media activist VeryDarkMan has broken his silence, insisting that many critics do not know the full story behind their relationship.

The activist, who has faced backlash online over his relationship with the Afrobeats singer, alleged that he once rejected an offer of ₦50 million linked to a meeting with Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, who is Davido’s uncle.

 

VeryDarkMan claims he rejected ₦50 million offer

Responding to criticism from social media users, VeryDarkMan said those accusing him of betraying Davido were the same people who had created a false narrative about their relationship.

 

He claimed that despite the huge amount involved, he rejected the alleged offer because of his personal principles.

 

“I no say this one shock una now because na una dey push that narrative. VeryDarkMan after what Davido did for you. As a matter of fact, When they call me say make I go meet his uncle, Governor, Say I go collect like 50 million.

As wetin I tell them. A lot of people will be happy, you no wetin be 50 million? I bounce am. Ask them, the comment section is open. You see this media. What you don’t know is bigger than you.”

 

Speaks on last conversation with Davido

VeryDarkMan also disclosed that the last time he communicated with Davido was over a promise the singer allegedly made to donate $5,000 to a young man in Ghana.

 

According to him, many people attacked him online after the donation was not made immediately, believing he and Davido had used the story for publicity.

 

He said he later sent Davido a direct message reminding him about the pledge. He added that the payment was eventually made after the reminder.

 

“The last time me and Davido talk na when that issue of that boy wey him say he go give $5,000 for Ghana, I think he forgot.

 

People were now insulting me. Say you talk say Davido don give the boy…..

 

I didn’t know he forgot or maybe he was busy. So I sent it to him in his DM. How far? shap shap, make them pay this boy because people were insulting me, Thinking that we use the thing for clout. From there they paid the guy. Ask him or any of the 30BG crew.”
