Tanzanian music star Diamond Platnumz and his wife, Zuchu, have reportedly ended their marriage, with the singer confirming that they are now separated and going through a divorce.

The couple officially tied the knot in June 2025 after being together for five years. Their relationship had been widely followed by fans across Africa, making the news of their split a surprise to many.

In a post shared on her Instagram page on Sunday, Zuchu announced that their marriage had come to an end. Although she did not disclose what led to the breakup, she hinted that despite their efforts, things did not work out.

“We tried, but Allah has His own plans,” she wrote.

The singer also revealed that she has decided to prioritize her wellbeing and future as the divorce process continues.

“I have finally decided to choose myself and this is a time to heal and focus more on my health and career.

“My husband and I are now separated and going through a divorce. I announce this with a heavy heart. After 6 years of being together, I’ve finally decided to choose myself.”
