Speaking on financial independence, Raye argued that while being a “sugar baby” may provide access to luxury and comfort, it rarely leads to genuine wealth or long-term stability.

According to her, many women in such arrangements may enjoy expensive lifestyles, including paid rent, designer items, holidays, and what is commonly described as a “soft life,” but she stressed that these privileges are not the same as ownership or financial freedom.

“Just being a sugar baby can make you a lot of money, but it’s almost never going to make you wealthy,” she said.

She explained that the lifestyle often depends entirely on another person’s willingness to continue providing financial support, making it uncertain and temporary.

“The problem with access is the day the person who is funding your life gets tired, finds someone new, or simply decides he’s done, your entire life is going to disappear overnight,” she added.

Raye contrasted that reality with women who focus on developing careers or building businesses, noting that the process may appear slower and less glamorous at first, but creates something more sustainable.

According to her, women who build their own careers and businesses are creating ownership and stability that cannot easily be taken away from them.

“Because when a career woman makes money, it did not come from a man’s mood. It came from her own value. Nobody can wake up one day and break up with her income. That’s the difference,” she said.
