2Baba debunks reports of London arrest after alleged clash with wife Natasha

Nigerian music legend Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has dismissed viral reports claiming he was arrested in London following an alleged altercation with his newlywed wife, Natasha Osawaru.

The rumour, first circulated by the controversial blogger Tosin Silverdam, alleged that 2Baba’s absence from his scheduled UK tour on October 2, 2025, led to fans abandoning the event, sparking speculation that he had been detained after a domestic dispute with his wife.

In a video shared online, 2Baba appeared with Natasha and close associates to debunk the claims, stressing that his absence was due to health reasons and not any clash.

One of his associates could be heard jokingly telling him, “Oh boy, dem don alleged you. Allegedly, dem say you way dey here, allegedly, dem don alleged you.”

Addressing his fans directly, the singer clarified that he had a medical emergency and had to cancel the show.

He said, “First of all, I want to say everyone that came out, I appreciate you. We had a medical emergency, it was tough. To the organizers and everyone that came out, we go regroup and make something beautiful happen. And please, if una no sabi something, make una no talk abeg. This allegedly, I don tire.”

The clarification has put to rest circulating rumours, with many fans relieved after seeing the singer in good health alongside his wife.
