Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson has publicly condemned a Ghanaian television station for allegedly broadcasting her latest movie without obtaining the proper rights.

Taking to Instagram, the actress expressed her disbelief over the unauthorized airing, noting that neither she nor her team granted permission.

She criticized the station’s actions as unprofessional and unacceptable, questioning how such a move could be justified.

“Ghana, Blazing TV.
How is this even ok?
Blazing TV in Ghana is showing my movie, The Firstborn, on their TV without my consent.
How does this even make sense? How?

I am speechless at the audacity of it all”.

Her post has since sparked conversations about copyright violations and respect for intellectual property in the African entertainment industry.
