A Nigerian lady has taken to social media to call out a man who allegedly assaulted her and her friends at a club in Port Harcourt after they refused to let him sit on a chair they had reserved.

The incident was reported on X (formerly Twitter) by a user identified as @Monie_HRM, who shared photos of the man alleged to have carried out the attack.

According to her, the assault happened at Black Box Club, where her friends were celebrating a birthday.

“This man beat up my friends at the club because they didn’t allow him sit on the chair they reserved for a birthday celebration,” she wrote. “He broke bottles on their heads, stripped one of them, and another lost her front tooth. Please, the videos are attached.”

In one of the videos attached to the post, a lady—who claims to be one of the victims—recounted the harrowing experience.
According to her, they had gone out to celebrate her friend’s birthday at Black Box Club, where they had booked a table in advance.

She explained that while they were enjoying themselves, one of her friends was making a video when the man in question began protesting that he didn’t want to be recorded.

Although her friend clarified that he wasn’t being filmed, he reportedly grew violent and attacked them.

“He started hitting my friend, claiming she was recording him,” she said. “When I tried to intervene, he broke a bottle on my head. I was bleeding. The only thing we did wrong was to go out as girls. Is every girl in Nigeria a prostitute?”

She added that the man also insisted on sitting at their reserved table, despite being told that it was booked for their event.

“He said we had no right to sit while he was standing. This man assaulted my friends, stripped one, and left me with injuries. All my life, no one has ever raised their hands on me until now.”
