Adeola, the long-lost daughter of popular actress Jumoke George, has returned to Nigeria after being trafficked to Mali four years ago.

The news was confirmed by Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman and CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), who shared the update on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday.

“Breaking! Adeola, daughter of popular actress Jumoke George, who had been missing for four years after being trafficked to Mali, is finally back home. We just received her, alongside Biola Adebayo, who first shared the story, and actor Adeniyi Johnson,” Mrs. Dabiri-Erewa wrote.

Jumoke George had previously spoken about her missing daughter during an interview with Biola Adebayo, who hosts the talk show ‘Talk to B.’
She revealed that Adeola, her first child, lived with her grandmother in Ibadan before she disappeared after mentioning plans to travel to Lagos.

Adeola later contacted the family to ask for forgiveness and explained that she had traveled abroad with friends seeking better opportunities.
In the same interview, Jumoke George opened up about her own struggles with health and finances.

She shared that her condition had forced her to turn down acting roles, refund payments, and borrow money for medical treatment, including upcoming tests costing around N400,000.

Jumoke also revealed that all money earned from occasional jobs was spent on efforts to locate her daughter.

Biola Adebayo further disclosed that Jumoke George is currently receiving medical treatment at a public hospital in Lagos.
