Award-winning Afrobeats singer Tiwa Savage has sparked conversation online after offering her unfiltered opinion on Nigerian men during a recent appearance on GRM Daily’s “Thoughts in a Culli.”

Known for her bold personality and chart-topping music, Savage didn’t hold back when asked about her thoughts on Nigerian men.

While acknowledging their fashion sense and caring nature through financial services, she noted a lack of genuine romantic effort.

“Nigerian men do have swag but they are not really romantic when it comes down to it. They know how to swag and splash cash but I’m not looking for that,” she said.

The Somebody’s Son singer added that while Nigerian men can be generous, she is searching for deeper qualities in a partner, suggesting that material displays don’t equate to emotional connection or meaningful affection.
