In a recent Instagram post, he shared advice for both singles and married individuals on handling the challenges of love.

He pointed out that marriage should not be seen as an absolute requirement.

He encouraged those in unhappy or abusive marriages to seek support or consider leaving, pointing out that divorce is often a healthier option than staying in a toxic environment.

Chiwetalu Agu also advised singles to take their time before marrying for the right reasons.

He recommended not prioritizing physical appearance or societal pressures and instead stressed the importance of doing thorough background checks.

“Marriage is not a do-or-die affair. If you have an abusive partner, run for your life. If you are in a toxic relationship, run for your life. If you are not happy in your marriage, seek help or run for your life.

“Divorce is better than “rest in peace”. “I want to stay because of my children”. That was how a lady was killed. Now, who will take care of the kids? Is it the man that killed you? Or the relatives who love their own families.
