For those who don’t know, in vitro fertilisation (IVF) is the procedure of fusing a man’s sperm and a woman’s egg in a sterile laboratory environment.

She stressed that there is no intrinsic problem with IVF in a recent Instagram post, saying that God has given us the intelligence to overcome our difficulties. She urged religious women to be transparent about their IVF journeys in their stories, arguing that by God’s blessing, this transparency might uplift and benefit other families.

Mary also emphasised that it is not required of one to share their story, telling people who might not be able to relate their entire journey to hold off on sharing for fear of offending God.
