”Nepa, tori olorun” – Software Engineer cries out over power outage during live video call with foreign employer

A Nigerian Software Engineer recently had an embarrassing moment while speaking through a live video call with his employer who is abroad.

The man revealed via a Twitter post that PHCN disconnected the power supplied to his area while he was having an onboarding call.

He shared a photo which captured him having the call on his laptop with the foreign boss while his whole room went totally dark.

The developer with Twitter handle @Ajidefeerefe captioned the post; ”Nepa!!! tori olorun. Onboarding call, for God’s sake 🤣🤣

While some netizens found humour in what PHCN did, others gave recommendations on how he can avoid such embarrassment in the future.

Plug it to a power bank or UPS or something. Let that be your backup lighting if you’re using laptop. When NEPA takes light, you can just take a break and go turn on your gen. At least your not in some unexpected darkness.
