It’s against our culture for a man to kneel for a woman – Lady says as she kneels down to accept her man’s proposal

The engagement of Bayelsa man, Comrade Ineintiemo Michael Suotongha and his girlfriend, Inatimi Joy has gotten people talking owing to how the proposal took place.

It was gathered that he proposed in Yenagoa but rather than him kneeling down, it was his girlfriend that went on her knees to accept the proposal.

Friends of the couple, Sunny Oduru and Gborienemi Mark Charles took to Facebook to reveal that the young lady explained that her culture frowns at the idea of a man kneeling for a woman.

Joy told her man that it’s an abomination for him to kneel down before her to propose.

Gborienemi wrote; “She said to her husband to be, ‘Plz don’t kneel for me.. It is against our culture for a man to kneel for a lady. Western education and civilization will not change the fact that you are the man of the house”.

Oduru wrote; “Suotongha Michael Ineintiemo His beautiful new tear rubber package said “YES” She even knelt down for him,a sign of loyalty and respect, this kind of marriage God himself will be present to do the joining!!!!!! But let me still ask, where only ona dey see this kind women from? Make ona give us the secret na…if not we no go marry o”.
