2026 UTME: JAMB allows candidates to upload O’Level results from home

Candidates seeking admission through the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) can now verify and upload their O’Level results from home, following a new move by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

The new JAMB O’Level result upload service initially covers results issued by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), reducing candidates’ dependence on Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres.

Under the arrangement, JAMB will electronically verify candidates’ results directly with the relevant examination bodies before uploading them to their profiles.

JAMB explains new O’Level result upload process

In a statement issued on Monday, JAMB’s Acting Director, Public Affairs and Protocol, Dr Fabian Benjamin, said the initiative was introduced to make the process easier, faster, safer and more convenient.

The Board said the new system would also help tackle problems associated with manual uploads, including misplaced or mixed-up paper certificates and the submission of unverified or fraudulent results.

JAMB added that the electronic process would reduce errors that can occur when candidates manually enter their subjects and grades.

New system expected to ease admission process

The development is expected to provide relief for candidates, particularly during periods when CBT centres experience heavy patronage.

With the new JAMB O’Level result upload system, eligible candidates can complete the process remotely rather than making a physical visit solely to upload their results.
