18-year-old Mohammed Aminu Sani has made history as Nigeria’s youngest commercial pilot.

The young Nigerian earned his United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Commercial Multi-Engine Pilot License from Phoenix East Aviation in Daytona Beach, Florida.

This follows after he completed the 10-month program without a single check ride failure.

Notably, Nigeria has produced several notable figures in the aviation industry.

–Allen Ifechukwu Onyema: Founder of Air Peace, one of Nigeria’s most prominent airlines, offering affordable air travel options while creating jobs and boosting the local economy.

– Prof. Obiora Okonkwo: Founder of United Nigeria Airlines, a wholly Nigerian-owned commercial airline providing air transportation services and redefining the aviation industry with innovative services.

– Kunle Soname: Founder of ValueJet, a private Nigerian airline offering domestic flights to key cities, and a recipient of the CEO of the Year award.

–Captain Edward Boyo: Founder and CEO of Overland Airways, with over two decades of experience in Nigeria’s aviation sector, and founder of Landover Aviation Business School.

– Jacky Hathiramani: Founder of Dana Air, offering safe, reliable, and affordable air travel with a fleet of Bombardier CRJ900 Jets.

– Alhaji Dahiru Barau Mangal: Founder of Max Air, a leading airline in Nigeria, with a diverse fleet and significant contributions to the industry.

–Babawande Afolabi: Founder of Green Africa Airways, aiming to make air travel affordable for everyone, with a focus on expanding routes and services.
