“You were never…” – Lady weigh in on Chef T’s 9-year journey from Christianity to Islam

A Nigerian lady has stirred debate online after sharing her strong opinion following the recent revelation by popular food content creator Chef T about her nine-year journey from Christianity to Islam.

Chef T had earlier shared that her journey, revealing that her conversion wasn’t forced by her husband, in-laws or anyone else.

Reacting to the development, the lady took to her TikTok, noting that while transition may be personal, many people misunderstand what it truly means to be a Christian.

In her words, she said:

“Being born into a Christian home does not automatically make you a Christian. It only gives you the foundation to know God.”

She explained that true Christianity is a personal decision, not something inherited from parents or practiced casually through church attendance.

According to her, a real Christian is someone who genuinely believes in Jesus Christ, his death, burial, and resurrection, and places their hope of salvation in him.

“You’re a Christian because you believe that Jesus Christ died, was buried, and rose again. If anyone truly encounters Jesus, they cannot renounce Him,” she added.

Her statement has sparked mixed reactions online. While some agreed with her stance that faith is a personal decision, others argued that people have the right to choose their religion without judgment.
