Top Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun better known as Wizkid has hit a fresh milestone on global music streaming platform, Spotify.

His 2020 hit song, Essence featuring Tems recently surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify.

Chart Data, a data driven music platform shared the news on its official Twitter page on Monday, April 11, 2022.

It tweeted; ”@wizkidayo and @temsbaby’s “Essence” has now surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify.”

Meanwhile, Shazam announced Essence as the most Shazamed song in the United States in 2021. The song was also certified Gold by Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in the same year.
