Why I rejected deals that could have made me a billionaire – Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde

Veteran Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has revealed that her commitment to personal values prevented her from becoming a billionaire.

The celebrated actress made the disclosure during an appearance on The Afropolitan Show, where she reflected on some of the difficult decisions she made throughout her career.

“If I wanted to be a billionaire I would have been it easily because I have been in situations where no one would have known and I would have taken things and compromised my stands, but I would say no, and I would walk away.

Many times, and some of those people are even watching me today,” she said.

According to Omotola, she encountered several opportunities that promised huge financial rewards but required her to compromise her principles.

However, she explained that she chose to walk away from such deals, stressing that staying true to her values was more important than the money attached to them.

In a previous interview, the actress revealed that she once received a car as a gift while married, and her husband had no issue with it.

She added that men also receive support and gifts from admirers, though women tend to experience it more frequently.

Despite turning down lucrative opportunities, Omotola maintained that remaining true to herself has brought rewards that cannot be measured in money.
