The child, frightened and in tears, attempted to shield himself from the blows but remained helpless. In the background, a woman believed to be the boy’s mother can be heard pleading with the father to stop, warning that his method was too harsh and inappropriate for correcting a child. Despite her appeals, the man continued his aggressive outburst.
Reacting to the incident, Sarah Martins condemned the father’s actions and also faulted the mother for not doing enough to protect her son. She questioned how any parent could stand by and allow such excessive punishment over poor academic performance.

In her post, Martins called for more compassionate and understanding approaches to parenting. She stressed the need to look beyond grades and identify possible emotional or personal struggles that may be affecting a child’s performance.

The actress also reminded parents that academic brilliance does not guarantee future success, urging them to guide their children with patience and emotional support rather than violence.

“This is too much abeg!!!!

And how on earth is a mother comfortably watching her husband almost beating their son to a pulp just because he failed an exam

In as much as is not easy to raise money in paying school fees and co, but there are better ways to caution a child especially when he’s distracted with his studies.

Sit him down and have a talk with him!Find out if he’s emotionally stable and why he’s academically distracted.

I felt so cold watching this Parents remember that the most successful people today are not academically brilliant!”
