The assistant pastor Thuli posted a video where Roland refused to sign the divorce papers and instead indicated his plan to go back to Nigeria and use juju (muthi) to fight her.

Although the couple are pastors in South Africa, with Roland serving as the lead pastor at his church, many found the incident to be unexpected.
The pastor’s mother-in-law intervened and begged the man to calm down as the couple was arguing. Yet he claimed that his wife may ahead with filing for divorce without his approval.

It was said that Thuli had described to herself as “the luckiest lady in the world” and had publicly praised Roland as her husband a few weeks before.
