“I’ve been quiet enough and tried to handle this privately, but the situation has escalated beyond what I can bear. The Orita Police in Ibadan have detained my staff illegally without an invitation or any crime committed. They entered my office under the pretense that the DPO merely wanted to ask some questions, and now my employees are being held without any legitimate reason.

My corporate lawyer has reached out to the DPO, but we are facing nothing but resistance. To make matters worse, my staff members are currently being sexually harassed. This is an outright abuse of power, and it’s happening to hardworking women who are simply trying to earn a living and support their families.

In doing this, the Orita Police have violated the fundamental human rights of my employees, particularly their rights to personal liberty and dignity of human persons as enshrined in the Nigerian Constitution. This is not just a personal issue; it’s a call for justice against intimidation and the misuse of police authority.

I am pleading with everyone who sees this message to help me bring attention to this injustice. We need the DPO or anyone in a position to assist to step in and ensure the immediate release of my staff. The country is already hard enough; why make it harder for those who are trying to survive?

Please share this message and help us fight against this abuse of power. We need your support now more than ever”.
