Rema Makes History, Becomes the First Nigerian Artiste to Perform at The Ballon d’Or (WATCH)

Divine Ikubor, popularly known by his stage name Rema, an Afrobeats superstar who has made Nigeria notable by being the first artist from that country to perform at the prestigious Ballon d’Or award ceremony.

The 23-year-old international sensation does the continent proud with a legendary performance at the 2023 Ballon d’Or award, which was held in front of millions of people and the top football players, coaches, and associations in the entire world in Paris, France.

The singer took bolder stance by shaking the hands of the players in the front row during his performance of his worldwide hit song, “Calm Down,” on stage. Additionally, Victor Osimhen, football player from Nigeria, made history by being the first Nigerian player to place in the top ten of the Ballon d’Or. Asisat Oshoala, female football player for the Nigerian Super Falcons, came in at number 20.
