Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels, has unfollowed her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, and deleted his photos and videos from her Instagram page, sparking speculation that their marriage may be heading for a collapse.

The move came days after she accused the politician of harassing her family and ordering the arrest of her siblings.

The actress made the allegations in a series of emotional posts shared on Monday night, claiming Nwoko wanted her to return to him and to a rehabilitation centre. She alleged that her brother was beaten “like a criminal” during the arrest.

Allegations and counterclaims emerge

The recent fallout followed Regina’s earlier claim of enduring domestic violence in her marriage.

In a viral video, she was seen crying as she lamented that she was “not a queen” in her husband’s house.

Nwoko, in a public statement, denied the abuse allegations and instead accused Regina of battling drug and alcohol addiction.

He alleged that his attempts to help her seek treatment were resisted, adding that she had exhibited violent behaviour towards domestic staff.

However, members of Regina’s family refuted his claims. Her brother, Sammy West, publicly condemned violence against women, while her sister, Destiny Daniels, shared pictures of injuries allegedly inflicted by Nwoko, insisting that there was no reconciliation between the couple.

Public reaction and next steps

The development has generated widespread discussion on social media, with many users expressing sympathy and support for Regina.

“This girl should use this chance and never look back,” one fan wrote, while another commented, “There will be no going back from this.”

Although Regina has not issued a formal statement on the state of her marriage, her recent social media actions and family’s defence suggest deepening cracks in the relationship.
