World-famous Brazilian footballer, Neymar, has spoken for the first time after his Paris Saint-Germain teammate, Kylian Mbappe made a massive U-turn on his initial decision to join Real Madrid.
In the past few years, the 23-year-old was heavily linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu and when it seems the deal was all done, the French star announced he is staying in Paris and extended his deal till 2025.
The former Barcelona man told Canal Football Club, “I was very happy that Kylian decided to stay. I think the PSG project is what is needed for his career.
“It’s a good thing for him to stay, and to try to win a Champions League in his country, in the team of his city. Having players like Kylian in the team is always very important.”
Neymar’s current weekly wages at PSG mean there are very few clubs in the world who could actually sign him.
Chelsea, with their new owner ready to slash the cash, were put forward as a club who have a long-standing interest in the 30-year-old Brazilian.
